American anthropologist Dr. Edward Hall divided four types of distance into interpersonal communication.
Public distance: 3.7 Meters to 7.6 Meters. As the name suggests, the distance between people who are unrelated or unknown.
Social distance: 1.2 Meters to 3.7 Meters, which reflects a more formal relationship in business or etiquette.
Personal distance: 46 cm to 122 cm, a space of solitude between people.
Intimate distance: 15 cm ~ 44 cm.
And I have always maintained a distance of 120 centimeters from you, neither far nor close, everything is just right.
