If we hadn't met at the top of Qunyu Mountain, we would have met under the moon at Yaotai
I don't know which dynasty or generation the story is from, but it is said that there was a last king, and his country was called "Liang". After more than three hundred years of establishment, the country was finally defeated at the hands of a subjugated king who was less than twenty years old. It's a song and a cry.
There was a prime minister in the court who was good at civil and military strategies and strategizing. He supported him until his last breath. He was one of the rare good prime ministers in the past and present. He only lasted for thirty-nine years, serving both civil and military officials, but he finally died on the battlefield.
The monarch and his ministers cherished each other and were praised by the world.
Later generations often used a poem by Li Taibai to praise this pair of monarchs and ministers: If we hadn't met on the top of a jade mountain, we would have met under the moon at Yaotai.
In fact, this poem has no profound meaning. It is just that this poem contains the names of the last few influential figures in the last dynasty.
The white clouds are like a dog, and the years are rushing by. I don't know how many lives have passed, but the Liang Dynasty has long been wiped out, but this story is spread everywhere and everyone knows it. The Yangtze River is really rolling eastward, the waves wash away the heroes, and the success or failure of right and wrong turns into nothing.
The green hills are still there, and the sunset turns red several times.
Later historical materials have very few records of that time, and there is a lack of physical evidence. The last years of the Liang Dynasty leave unlimited room for imagination. So some literati used this story to write an unofficial history note called "Meeting Under the Moon at Yaotai".
The story begins in the seventeenth year of Xingqing.
