Since the Han and Tang Dynasties, emperors have specially set up imperial lecture halls to discuss classics and history. It was first called Jingyan in the Song Dynasty.
Jingyan Lecturer, with the title of minister, will give lectures on the day of mid-autumn and mid-spring.
