Many years later, one afternoon, the sun was just right. Xuanqiang lay on the ivy chair and lazily basked in the sun with her eyes closed. The wicker chair beneath her swayed slightly, and she chatted with Yun Shang, who had come here to have a meal with nothing to do. There is no trace of the bloodthirsty or cruelty of the demon gods of the past.
Yun Shang looked at Xuanqiang who seemed to be waking up from a dream. The questions he had been asking for many years turned over and over in his stomach, and finally he asked.
"Is it worth it?"
The voice was very low and deep, as if mumbling to himself, with an unknown emotion and heaviness. The swaying wicker chair suddenly stopped. Xuanqiang opened her eyes suddenly, pushed herself up, took a deep look at Yun Shang, then closed her eyes and lay down again. The wicker chair began to sway again with the breeze.
Yun Shang felt bored and shook his head helplessly. He transformed into a blanket and covered Xuanqiang with it, then planned to get up and leave. After walking two steps, Xuanqiang's voice suddenly came from behind him.
"Which one are you asking about?"
"It was me who didn't hesitate to hide my identity and seal my strength, and turned into a waste and stayed by his side."
"I would rather cut off my own meridians, cut out his belly and make elixirs to save him."
"Or maybe I betrayed my race and defied fate for him."
"Or maybe it's the 340,000 years I've been keeping him company."
