Lily was a witch, as she had only recently learned, from her new friend Severus Snape.
She also has a neighbor who looks like a wizard. They are two children who are mysterious all day long.
Mitchell is fed up with his neighbor's kids. Especially the one named Lily, who was spying on them all day long. Only Eve still foolishly wanted to play with them.
Snape also rejected the two strange children at first, always occupying Lily's attention, but the child named Mitchell was actually very distressing.
