The gods all say that only by letting go of your obsessions can you achieve the great truth. But if you are dedicated to the great road, it is not just an obsession. The heart is free of worries, it is the rain, the clouds, the breeze in the forest, the gurgling under the bridge. If there is no talk of life, there is no talk of death. But if there is something in your heart, which has shed tears, shed blood, and has been painful but has not been let go, and you have been obsessed with it for a lifetime, if this thought does not die, can you live forever?
