1925, Shanghai.
One is a young master who was robbed by bandits after studying abroad. He works as a clown in a circus in order to make a living; the other is the second master of Shanghai Hong Gang who values friendship and morality. When the clown Huan Le and the second master Luo Fusheng meet by chance, the wheel of fate begins to move forward slowly.
Huan Le has three faces, one is the killer clown, one is the star Huan Le, and the other is the true self that can only be revealed in front of Luo Fusheng.
