On April 3, 2017, three self-financed international students from China arrived at Kansai Airport. They didn't know each other, but they became entangled in each other's lives. They have very different personalities and different purposes. Deng Yunchuan, who comes from a nouveau riche family, lives a leisurely life, thinking that he can just stay away from his parents; Li Mingyue, who carries the dream of his brother, comes to Japan after experiencing all kinds of life, and dreams of letting his mother live a happy life; "I" - Tu Nan, half awake and half dreaming, in order to fulfill his childhood dream of studying abroad, and to start a different life.
The novel is set in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan. From the perspective of "my", it tells the laughter and tears of three people studying abroad in Kyoto, as well as their completely different growth trajectories.
