The protagonist, Yi Weng, is a student who came to Paris to seek refuge with his mother. Due to his family's early divorce background, he was not familiar with his mother. After meeting for the first time, he saw a Chinese woman on the bridge of the Seine River about to commit suicide by jumping into the river.
