Monsters have long lives, and human life is only a few decades. For monsters, it's just a matter of time and a snap of the fingers. Therefore, when attachment occurs, there will be sadness, reluctance, and parting, but the happiness and warmth in the memories still exist, and it becomes more painful and difficult to let go every time you think about it. Natsume is a gentle person, so I asked him to come back. He couldn't bear to see those he loved feel the pain of his passing. He had too many and too deep ties in the world that he couldn't let go. Whether Natsume returns as a monster or a ghost, he will live a smiling life as before under the gentle protection of his companions.
