Beiko Virus (BKoV) belongs to the family Spheroviridae. Its diameter is usually about 200 nanometers. The virus is green in color with short tentacles. The biosafety level is level 4 (the highest is level 4).
Beikou virus can be transmitted between humans and most mammals (some mammals such as whales and dolphins are not infected). Its main transmission routes are blood, saliva, sexual behavior, and mother-to-child transmission.
Infected people usually develop lesions within half an hour to five days, and the incubation period in a small number of cases may exceed five days. Common symptoms include BKbehavior-control disorder (BKbcer), which is specifically characterized by attacks on non-infected people.
