The setting is not exactly the same as that of FGO. Merlin accompanied each King Arthur to the end of their lives, but still did not tell them the future he foresees.
And Merlin was in the perspective of an outsider in the later life of King Arthur, that is, after Merlin was supposed to leave. Even if he chatted, it would not involve state affairs, just sauce.
