The lifespan of a witch is only thirty years. Joan always couldn't believe why she could accept this fact so easily, but Carmela couldn't explain it herself. Death always has a special meaning for human beings that the little witch cannot understand. Perhaps this is the reason why she was born in the world - to find the answer that no one knows. She didn't feel the weight of separation when her mother left, and she hoped that no one would care about her on the day she left.
