General Preface - A glimpse into the vast world. Hello, I am Hardy, a layman who tells stories. If you've ever heard a word about the wilderness, then you and I have something in common. Fate is a wonderful thing. Just like many years ago, I accidentally made friends with a physicist who proposed a novel theory, and then read a girl's adventure diary from him. The content of the diary was too absurd, but it had a magical power that made me firmly believe that what it recorded was what really happened. Even though I am a novice storyteller, I can still see the literary value contained in this diary. After several days of tossing and turning, I tried to persuade my physics friend to introduce me to the owner of the diary so that I could get the complete story through an interview. Unfortunately, my friend told me that the original owner of the diary was no longer alive. The diary was handed over to him for safekeeping by a young man who had no blood relationship with the original owner. As for the young man's last name, he did not know who he was. He could only vaguely describe some physical features. Perhaps it was because I was too obsessed with this story, or because I had a deep connection with this story, but I finally found the young man. As for the twists and turns, I won't go into detail here. Interestingly, after just a few exchanges of emails, the impression left on me by that young man exceeded the shock that the diary gave me. It's hard for me to describe his image in just a few words. I don't want to deify him, but he does have a charm about him. He described an incredible adventure to me in a story-telling tone with great interest. Of course this adventure is inextricably linked to the diary. Later, I boldly guessed that the content recorded in that diary was just the tip of the iceberg of another life system. You can also call it a story that happened in another world. I named that world "Wasteland" without permission. I followed the young man's narrative and emotionally processed the content I was interested in artistically and wrote it into a novel. However, something interrupted my progress and forced me to give up continuing the creation of this story. My friend, a physicist, disappeared, and then the young man lost contact with me. I know where they went. As I firmly believed from the beginning, the world of Wasteland is real. It is attached to the surface of the space-time dimension where we are like a bubble, but it is independent in itself and requires special channels to enter there through the interface between it and our dimension. Eleven years ago, the young man witnessed the collapse of that interface during his adventure. Although he and his companions luckily returned to normal time and space, they could never return to the real wasteland. That mysterious bubble world had probably broken away from our dimension of time and space and turned into a speck of dust, floating in the universe that was so sparse for humans. The young man described it to me this way. But he was wrong, that world has not left, it still intersects with our time and space. And it's no accident that my friend, that great physicist, is very knowledgeable about space and time. There are some things that I know too late. For example, the owner of the diary is actually the girl my friend loves deeply. For example, my friend knew the entire truth about the wasteland from the beginning. For example, the young man is still attached to the illusion he met in the wasteland. Of course, these actually have nothing to do with me, after all, I am just a storyteller. The meaning of the wasteland to me is just a glimpse in the vast world. Not to mention flying flowers on a snowy night.
