On December 31st, 2016, on an unknown street in Guangzhou, I held up an old umbrella and wandered around absentmindedly under the drizzle that was drifting all over the sky. After the light is bent by the slender rain strands, it always shows a twisted posture.
The wind is very cold, but the people coming and going are still happy.
My surname is Liu, with the single character Li, and I am often called by my first and last name. When I grew up, and became curious about the name, I would also wonder whether I was Liu Li, who was as strong as a "glazed stone", or whether I was a somewhat sad symbol of broken "displacement".
Looking at the endless flow of vehicles, I was lost for a long time. The umbrella was lowered, covering his somewhat lonely and dull face.
This is me later.
The streets were dyed black by the rain on this winter night, reflecting the hurried steps of people. I turned off the music on my phone, just like a man taking the initiative to stub out an unburned cigarette, and suddenly there was a void in my heart.
Looking at the festive commercial street decorated with lights and colorful decorations, I put one hand into my coat pocket, pursed my lips and rolled up my eyelids.
The bells are ringing, the New Year is here...
