Do you believe in an afterlife?
Lin Jianlu: This life is short, why bother yourself.
Do you believe that Bodhisattva protects the world?
Lin Jianlu: Probably. So many incense offerings, so many people live a happy life. It must be blessed by a Bodhisattva.
Do you believe in fairies and ghosts?
Lin Jianlu: Those are all from children's storybooks.
Why do you believe in Bodhisattvas but not demons and ghosts?
Lin Jianlu: Because I am a secular person and cannot be exempted from vulgarity. I want good things in the world.
Do monsters and ghosts definitely bring evil?
Lin Jianlu: Almost everyone thinks so.
If Bodhisattvas are never kind-hearted, what about demons and ghosts who also have kind-hearted people?
Lin Jianlu: I am a layman. What does it have to do with me.
You are running away.
Lin Jianlu: I am just a layman.
Lin Jianlu always felt that he was just a commoner living in the world. Even if you are cynical, even if you don't obey the ethics.
But strange things happened one after another, and when he stood in the center of the storm, he realized that maybe he could be a little special.
Especially, like the boy next to him who seems innocent but moves forward and questions everything.
A boy who looks like a deer.
