As long as human beings' bad nature—selfishness, greed, and ignorance still exist, struggling in hypocrisy and falsehood, and suffering inevitable disasters and pain; as long as the two bridges to that pure land—growth and justice—remain ruthlessly cut off, then works of the same nature as this book will not be useless.
