I can remember things since I was very young. I still remember seeing Zou Taofen writing about his mother in a book when I was a child. He was still an infant in that memory, but the feeling remains fresh forever. He and I are similar.
Because my parents were in business, we always moved when we were young. You never live in one place for long, so you just rush to the next place. I thought that those short and dull days should be hidden as time goes by, but in my memory, those shabby windows, creaking wooden boards, strong aroma of steamed buns, and red-hot fire sticks become increasingly vivid as I grow older. Too many times I thought I was nostalgic for the past, but maybe it was some unexplainable thing from the past that kept dragging me down.
My friends always say that I should look forward, but how can I forget the things I always think of without paying attention. I heard that most of the things that people remember before they die are related to their childhood and are accidental instantaneous memories. Since the past is bound to be remembered, why should I bother to forget it. But people like me are not willing to just keep them in my mind. I have too many beautiful memories, personal experiences, hearsay, and plucked from the pages of books. There are too many and beautiful memories. Even if I write them down, I am afraid that they will be missed or forgotten. After all, I will live up to this fleeting time. But life is nothing more than "do your best". The rest depends on when this memory will be my blessing. It may be the next second, or it may be the last second.
I dedicate this document to my childhood and my family, I love you.
