The story takes place from the deepening of China's market economy in the 1990s to the leap into the G2 era in the new century. Against the background of the magnificent changes of the times, the protagonists Ping An (male protagonist) and Xiaojie (female protagonist) and the people around them explore a series of career and emotional conflicts on their respective life paths.
