"Time in Kyoto" is a novel I am writing recently. It is a series with "Snow in Lhasa". It will be released one after another in December after "Snow in Lhasa" is written. The difference is that this is a very sad story, and the overall style is as desolate and sad as the red leaves and cherry blossoms in Kyoto. When I was writing, I had been listening to a Japanese song called "Life Is Too Many Partings", which a friend of mine shared with me on WeChat Moments. At first, I didn't pay attention to the lyrics of the song, but I just thought the tune was very suitable for this story. Every time I hear it, I feel like seeing the young drummer Cui Can carrying a guitar, hanging out in nightclubs and pubs in Yokohama, and hearing the local accent on the streets of a foreign country, which is a unique experience. Today I saw the general meaning of the Chinese lyrics, and I feel more like him. In his life, maybe he was truly alive only when Shuyuan was by his side for half a year, right? I really don't know who is more pitiable between Cui Can and Su Mu, but Su Mu deserves it, right? In my novel, Lin Ran and Kato Shuyuan are actually somewhat similar women. Su Mu and both of them fell in love, but they were both let down. And Cui Can knows what he wants best. He only loves one person, and no one is anyone else's shadow.
