Yao Chi was originally the noble son of the cat tribe. After experiencing a civil strife, he was rescued by the wolf king of a neighboring tribe while on the run. The Wolf King took a fancy to his appearance and threatened him to be his pet on the condition that the cat clan's totem and troops would be sent to quell the civil strife for him. In order to save his father's life and rescue the cat tribe from dire straits, Yao Chi was forced to sign a contract with the Wolf King, and then a series of unexpected things happened to him.
