Yuhua Cave

Yuhua Ancient Cave, one of the four famous caves in China, is a national scenic spot located at the foot of Tianjie Mountain 7 kilometers south of Jiangle County. It is named because the rocks in the cave are as smooth as jade and radiant. The total length of the cave is more than 5 kilometers, and the main cave is 2 kilometers. It is the longest and largest limestone cave in Fujian. The import is "a fan of wind", and the sound of the wind does not stop. The mountain pass is the "fifth watch day", and you can experience the scenery of many darkness turning into dawn. There are two Neng roads in the cave, which are divided into six branch caves: Zanghe, Lei Gong, Guozi, Huangni, Xiyuan and Baiyun. There are three streams in the cave: Shiquan, Jinquan and Lingquan, which are as clear as a mirror. There are 166 scenes such as the Qiong Tower and Jade House, the Kelong Drinking Water, the Dawn in the Sky, Penglai and Green, the Independent Eagle, and the Wind and Tears Candle, all of which are various special scenery of the hall formed by the dissolution of limestone. Among them, images such as the Immortal Field, the Alchemy Furnace, the Lychee Pillar, the Canglong going out to sea, and the boy worshiping Guanyin are the most realistic. The road inside the cave is flat, the hall is spacious, there are stone steps on the slopes, and bridges are built across streams. The paths are winding and unpredictable, just like a maze. The temperature inside the cave remains around 10°C, which is warm in winter and cool in summer. Yang Shi, the acting scholar of the Song Dynasty, and Li Gang, the famous anti-Jin prime minister, once praised that "this cave is dazzling and full of mystery" and "it reveals that every layer of it has the appearance of cutting jade and cutting clouds." On the rock wall at the entrance and exit of Yuhua Cave, there are many cliff stone carvings from the Song Dynasty. In the village two mornings away from the cave, there is a round well with a diameter of one meter, from which groundwater gushes out. The water droplets are plum blossom-shaped, flying and tumbling, hence the name Plum Blossom Well.
