The White Fox Country was a country that emerged during the reign of Emperor Tokuaki. It was originally ruled by the lords of the Chiho area at that time. Later, the lord of Chiho sent an envoy to express his willingness to naturalize. Emperor Tokuaki took advantage of the situation and incorporated Chiho into his territory and named it "White Fox Country".
It is impossible for outsiders to know the history of the White Fox Country before. The most famous legend is that Emperor Tokuaki was besieged by rebels in the Chiho area and was rescued by a mysterious woman when his life was about to die. When he wanted to repay the woman afterwards, he could not find her. Emperor Tokuaki believed that the mysterious woman should be a fox in the form of a human to help him, so he accepted the request of Lord Chiho at that time.
