Lin An (Yuan Feng) was originally a child of a wealthy family in the south of the Yangtze River. He left home angrily on the anniversary of his mother's death and was picked up by the down-and-out prince Weiming Shouxin (Yuan Jing) of the Western Xia Dynasty. His trustworthy master Han Canan went to the south of the Yangtze River in search of medicine, and Lin An volunteered to become a medicine man. There are various things to do after that, the story says.
