The Buddha said that there are seven sufferings in life: birth, old age, illness, death, resentment, separation from love, and failure to seek.
Did you know that there is an eighth suffering? The five Yins are blazing. Being plagued by all kinds of addictions, people suffer from this kind of suffering as soon as they are born, without interruption. Who can escape desire? Who doesn't have desires? Nothing but cause and effect, nothing circular.
An experience, a love affair; a wisp of candlelight, a moment of desolation; love cannot resist the complexity of the human heart; love cannot stop the corruption of lies; it cannot resist evil, fate, or marriage.
