The Si Snake clan lives in the abyss between the three realms and the realm outside the three realms. Also living in Manyuan is the Xiao Jiu clan. The two families have constant grievances. At some point, the Si Snakes discovered a path to the human world within the Three Realms. As a result, some Si Snakes came to the human world and multiplied. The Xiao Jiu clan followed closely and also came to the human world. The "good friends" Dou Chu of the Si Snake Clan and Ni Zheng of the Xiao Jiu Clan came to make their way in the human world.
