She was originally the fairy Chang'e in the sky, living alone in Guanghan Palace with her Jade Rabbit. Finally one day, Hou Yi attained enlightenment and became an immortal, but he changed his name to Jun Shaolang. No one in the Heavenly Palace knew that Jun Shaolang was Hou Yi back then, but no immortal was allowed to give or receive privately in the Heavenly Palace. So Chang'e and Hou Yi often had trysts in Guanghan Palace in the dead of night. But this matter was known to the Violet Fairy. The Violet Fairy fell in love with Junshang the first time she saw him. It was love at first sight. One night, as soon as Jun Shaolang came out of Guanghan Palace, he saw the Violet Fairy. The Violet Fairy asked Jun Shaolang to leave Chang'e and be with her, but Jun Shaolang refused. Unexpectedly, the next day, he and Chang'e were detained by heavenly soldiers and generals in Xuanshi Hall (the place where the Jade Emperor and the gods held discussions in the Heavenly Palace). The Jade Emperor was about to demote the two of them to earth. The Violet Fairy interceded for Jun Shaolang, and the Jade Emperor demoted Chang'e to the mortal world to endure life, old age, illness, and death; while Jun Shaolang was demoted back to the mountain where he practiced. After Jun Shaolang returned to the mountain, he begged his master to let him go to the human world. The Violet Fairy also begged the Jade Emperor to let her go to the human world to "overcome the calamity". Jun Shaolang, Chang'e, and the Violet Fairy fell into "sadistic love." Jun Shaolang longed to stay with Chang'e, but things didn't go as planned. They have been unable to stay together for three whole lives. Will they stay together in the fourth life?
