This story took place between 2005 and 2017. I started writing it when I was in the third grade of high school. I was still young at the time and had no passion for it, but it ended up being nothing but chicken blood. The winter of 2015 was not too cold, so I had the desire to write again, as if there was a medium-sized stone lying in your body. I wanted to finish writing the unfinished story, finish listening to the unfinished songs, and complete the unfulfilled promises, which can be regarded as an account of the most precious ten years of my life. In the spring of 2016, I missed my appointment. I once promised a person that I would take her to watch the fireworks, I would take her to Jay Chou's concert, I would take her to Shanghai, I would study hard and get admitted to a high-quality university as a graduate student, I would eat delicious food from all over the world with her, and I would spend the rest of my life with her. Just like a flower that blooms and eventually withers, I make promises to this world again and again, and break promises to this world again and again, but I know that no matter how far away the dream is, or the words that are close at hand, just like the flower that once bloomed, the moment I say it, it is sincere and has nothing to do with the promise. Maybe in a certain year, month or day in the future, I will be lucky enough to bring such a story to an end. I will be the first to thank my former critic. Yes, she is not my friend. It doesn't matter what her name is. Anyway, it is a name that sounds most nice. In the past countless evening self-study nights in high school, she once sat at my desk and left a paragraph in my notebook with the sharpest handwriting I had ever seen in my student days, which served as the beginning of this story. How I wish there was such an island, waiting for me on the unchanging ocean. If you are really willing to put your whole life into it, the whole world will never treat you badly. This story is for my most cherished friends. I hope there will be no time to look back. I hope this is a comma, really.
