Before their third year, Cedric Diggory and Amethyst Abbot had only seen each other's names on their final report cards.
During the first Care of Magical Creatures class in the third year, Cedric secretly thought that he had discovered some prickly little secrets about her and that they should become closer, but the tip of Amethyst's wand almost hit his nose.
"Then I assume that everything that happened today was a coincidence, Mr. Diggory."
In the fourth grade, in the corridor outside the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, Amethyst raised his feet to cover Cedric's eyes and pushed him into the door.
"I assume you know what the symbol of Slytherin is, Mr. Diggory."
In the fifth grade, Cedric and Almethyst huddled in a large cloak with a disembodiment spell and sneaked into the Forbidden Forest. Watching the girl take out raw beef wrapped in oil paper from the pocket of her school robe, Cedric inexplicably felt that if he didn't express his feelings to her, it might be too late.
"Happy birthday Cedric, I really can't think of a gift for you. I'll take you to see the Thestral. I hope you never have to know what it looks like in your lifetime."
In sixth grade, they hid in the fitting room of a Fengya clothing store and kissed secretly. Cedric felt like a sailor seduced by a siren.
"You must keep it a secret, Said. It would be very dangerous for us if anyone found out."
In seventh grade, the whole school cheered for Cedric the Warrior, but Cedric felt his girls didn't think so.
"Fool, I will always be proud of you, but you don't have to be my warrior, I want to protect you too."
Purpose: I will always be impressed by gentleness
