Really useless:
Ouch, speaking of it, ever since I watched The Phantom of the Opera in Toronto the year before last and fell into the trap, I have been looking for a Phantom of the Opera fan who can heal my broken girlish heart. As a Chinese girl whose mother tongue is Chinese, she naturally looked for Chinese websites first. The first choice among fandoms is Jinjiang. However, the sad thing is that, except for Mask, the Phantom of the Opera, there is no well-written fanfic about the real Christine and Erik, and it just falls apart...
Of course, there are some well-written Erik fanfics on Jinjiang, such as Fatal Aesthetics (I have read Customized many times!), But as a girl who firmly believes in 1v1 and Just world fallacy, I always hope that Erik's dedication to Christine (original version) will be rewarded, lovers will eventually get married, and in the end the two will kick Raoul away (don't get me wrong, I have no prejudice against Raoul) and live happily ever after. So, you can't imagine how moved I was when I saw one EC after another in fanfiction when I gritted my teeth and decided to search in English!
It just brought tears to my eyes.
After reading some of them, I couldn't help but crawl over and write a recommendation. After all, although there are so many fans, each author has a slightly different understanding of Erik and Christine. Although due to the original setting, Christine will be kind and weak, due to issues of personal values, I don't like some of the timid and cowardly Christines, so the authors I recommend will all write stronger Christines. Only such a Christine can overcome all difficulties to be with Erik, and only then will she be worthy of Erik in the eyes of readers.
So, this is what I recommend as a fan of Christine and Erik: they both have very charismatic personalities, and they support and rely on each other. Make people feel that they deserve a happy life.
