Kelly Yeats Abbott is the mother of Hufflepuff student Hannah Abbott. She entered school in the same year as her fellow Marauders, and had a crush on (and continued to have a crush on for the rest of her life) Remus Lupin while they were still there. Kelly became a therapist after graduation; after Voldemort's resurrection, she believed Dumbledore's words and joined the Order of the Phoenix, healing its members and participating in battles. Kelly Abbott's husband is a neutral pure-blood wizard who works in the Ministry of Magic. He is cowardly by nature and has always stood firmly in the direction of the Ministry of Magic. Kelly Abbott and her husband Simon Abbott were married in a pure-blood wizarding family marriage. Until Kelly was killed, the two had been separated for more than a year.
In November 1996, she was killed because she was unwilling to help Voldemort (Kelly was a very good healer and pure blood, and the Death Eaters had always wanted to poach her).
