I didn't come up with the skeleton of this story. When I was in junior high school, I saw a short article about Princess Yongtai and the scholar Song Zhimin in Youth Digest. Later I found out that it was an article by Zhou Shi, a contemporary literati, contained in "Suspense of Qianling".
I read "Suspense of the Qianling Tomb" (now renamed "The Shocking Qianling Mausoleum!"), But found nothing.
There is also a brief description of this beautiful legend in the historical material "Shuo Tang". However, after the tomb of Princess Yongtai was excavated at that time, no evidence was found to prove whether it was true or false, so it became a legend and spread among the people.
Therefore, Zhou Ya is not the first person to tell this story.
In the second year of high school, when I was doing a report on Song Zhiwen, I came into contact with Song Zhimin again. From then on, I was haunted by this story for three years. During my freshman year, my friend suddenly went to Xi'an without calling me, which was very exciting.
After sorting out all the clues from Tang Gaozong Li Zhi to Tang Xuanzong Li Longji, I found that this story has amazing authenticity.
Therefore, I narrate this beautiful but sad story that happened more than 1,300 years ago from the perspective of Song Zhiwen, a famous poet in the early Tang Dynasty.
