Qu Yuanzhi traveled to Guandong with his parents since he was a child. At the age of six, he learned martial arts from Taoist Master Yuxu. He was taught martial arts by four other worldly masters including Zen Master Fadu, Master Biyun, Yihu Laoren and Sun Hongming. At the age of sixteen, he traveled alone in the world, was invincible, acted chivalrously, and helped the poor. He acted covertly, and since he was revealed, few people in the world knew his true name, so he was known as the "Guandong Knight".
