Volume One: Jiangnan Affairs
After my marriage broke up, I accidentally went to a secluded town in order to escape my original environment, and met a "reclusive" couple. Their life was plain and warm, and there weren't many dramatic stories. Among the couples I've ever met, their way of getting along and their daily interactions attracted me the most.
The first volume of Jiangnan Affairs was written from the ninth day after I arrived in the new environment. It describes the big and small things I saw in Licheng, as well as the changes in my mood and mentality. Xihe and Brother Jiu are the reasons why I wrote a diary, but they are not everything I recorded. They will appear frequently in the first volume, but they are not the so-called protagonists. To be precise, all the words expressed are from my perspective about the daily lives of all the people I come into contact with. There is no specific protagonist, and only "I" will never disappear.
