Probably Gong and Shou fell in love in middle and high school, and then were forced to separate. Later Shou became a best-selling author, and Gong became the "national male favorite (?)". Gong had a hard time pursuing Shou (嘤嘤嘤), and had no choice but to be locked up (eh? There seems to be nothing wrong with it)
