Through the eyes of the protagonist Si'er, the article describes the different psychological characteristics and ways of life of various characters in Jinjihu Village, especially Si'er's family, in Si'er's era, the late Communist Party and the early years of reform and opening up. Despite the complexity of the world and the hardships of life, Si'er's body and mind are still tolerant and strong.
