The war is over.
It all started then, Harry thought.
His eyes swept across the crowd, stopping at the Malfoy family who were left behind by the crowd. Narcissa Malfoy and Lucius Malfoy were hugging each other, with their backs to each other, and their son between them. Harry's familiar old enemy used trembling fingers to push away the dirty blond hair stuck to his face. He stared blankly at the hugged Harry. From an angle that no one noticed, Malfoy cast Harry a look of fear, helplessness, gratitude, and even a hint of longing.
It was at this moment that he clearly felt someone punch him hard in the chest. He staggered and fell back to his body, quickly turned his face away, and grinned at Hermione and Ron who were slowly rushing over.
But he still clearly heard the sound of his chest cracking at that moment.
…
The sound of cracks opening became more frequent and clearer. Harry thought it all started then, but it didn't.
Every time when he was tired and feeling lost, the memory of the past was like a heavy blow, attacking him hard. Draco Malfoy was the devil in his memory, making him miss him again and again.
