This is a "non-mainstream" campus youth novel because it is based on my personal experience and describes a group that does not belong to the mainstream - the second generation. The so-called second generation are different from the rich second generation, who are crazy and cool, and also different from the poor second generation, who are living in daily necessities. They are a special middle group, and they have very little influence from their parents in the ivory tower of the university. In reality, they are the standard middle class across the country, but in my hometown, a fifth-tier prefecture-level city in Sichuan, their parents belong to the upper class, but their stories are a bit bitter to tell.
At first, I wrote it as documentary literature. In fact, many of it were my own stories. Later, due to unexpected events, I wrote it as a novel. This is my story, and it can also be regarded as my memoir. I want to squeeze some emotion out of the ordinary life. There is no traditional bloody plot here. No one in the story has a destiny that has stepped on shit and made a fortune, or has been unlucky and penniless. I hope the story can have ups and downs but is well-founded, touching but reasonable.
