My mother is a traditional woman. She lost her husband in middle age and lost her son in old age. Her daughter-in-law is not good to her, but she is still good to her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. She is hardworking and capable and is still doing farm work in the fields until she is in her eighties. Her life tells the story of China from the 1940s and 1950s to the 1920s.
