Baitiwu: Four pure black horses with white hoofs, Li Shimin's mount when fighting Xue Rengao. In 618 AD, the Tang army initially occupied Guanzhong, but its foothold was unstable. Father and son Xue Ju and Xue Rengao, who were separatists in Lanzhou and Tianshui, launched a large-scale offensive to compete with the Tang army for Guanzhong. After two months of confrontation, Li Shimin saw his opportunity, used a small number of troops to contain and lure the enemy head-on, and personally led the main force directly into the enemy's rear, causing Xue's army to retreat in chaos. Li Shimin took the opportunity to pursue, and urged the white-hoofed and black-body soldiers to pursue him, running more than 200 miles day and night, forcing Xue Rengao to surrender. The white-hoofed crow raised its head and glared angrily, its four hooves soared in the air, and its mane faced the wind, as if it were galloping in the wind on the Loess Plateau. Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty praised: "The long sword relies on the sky to chase the wind and the horse's feet; lifts the bridle to level the dragon, returns to the saddle and settles Shu."
