We are the group of people born in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The post-80s generation was once known as the Beat Generation. The earliest post-80s generation is now nearly 40 years old. Today's post-90s generation is criticized by society for pursuing independence and individuality, having a strong desire for utilitarianism, and lacking faith. However, today's earliest post-90s generation has experienced the initial struggles in society and has become the freshest blood in social development.
Those of us who were born in the late 1980s and early 1990s have some memories of those born in the 1980s: we vaguely remember the Beijing Asian Games, watched Tadpoles Looking for Mom, and loved listening to Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, and even Teresa Teng; we have also experienced everything born in the 90s: Korean dramas, the explosion of mainland TV variety shows, etc. We have been to the game arcade to play The King of Fighters Red Alert, and we have also been immersed in the game world of CS, CF, DOTA, and LOL and cannot extricate ourselves. Some people say that we are in the transitional period of the post-80s and post-90s generations. We have both the shadow of the post-80s generation and the characteristics of the post-90s generation.
