The hour hand reached ten past eight. In the dressing room of the operating room of City A People's Hospital, a slender and petite woman finally changed out of her blood-stained surgical gown and prepared to get off work. When she walked out of the department, familiar faces greeted her along the way, and she responded enthusiastically. It seemed that no one in the cardiac surgery department did not know this woman. She was young, but she had a high reputation outside of her heart. This was all because of her rigorous and meticulous work, and because there were no difficult patients or family members that she could not deal with.
The feeling of hunger in her stomach reminded her that it was time to sacrifice to her five internal organs. This afternoon's surgery did not go well, so it was postponed until eight o'clock. Standing and fasting for a long time had obviously exhausted her to the extreme. While waiting for the bus, she ordered a takeaway, which arrived just when she got home. The time seemed to have been carefully calculated. The lights at home were voice-activated and turned on the moment she unlocked the door. She put down the takeout and took a shower first after entering the door. This was her habit as a nurse, and her pajamas had already been placed in the bathroom. Everything was so orderly, as if it had been repeated a million times.
Five years is not a long time, but she has definitely grown up.
Now 29 years old, she watches her friends around her get married one by one, have children, and live a happy life. It would be a lie to say that she is not moved or envious. Parents arranged blind dates again and again, and it's not that they didn't understand their painstaking efforts.
But she was stubborn and didn't want to forget that person. He would definitely come back, she felt.
