It may only take a second to truly fall in love with someone, but it may take a lifetime to truly forget someone. I spent more than ten years getting to know him and fell in love with him, and spent another two years forgetting you. The only real companionship was those short three years.
I was nine years old when I met him, and he was thirteen, four years older than me. I got close to him at the age of eleven, but he was busy in high school. I really liked him at fifteen. I was in the third year of junior high school, and he had already entered the society. When I fell in love with him, I was in the third year of high school, but he was already busy in the adult world. When I wanted eternity, I was still naive, but he was already sophisticated. Looking back, it is obvious that the gap is only four years, but we have never met each other at the same stage of life, we just keep passing each other. Sometimes I believe in fate, in destiny, or in the impermanence of things.
This relationship may be over, but I will never forget it. When I grow up to the age he was when we broke up, I may understand a little bit of his helplessness.
