Ounias often appears as a lion, riding a powerful horse, with a serpent's tail, and holding two huge mourning serpents in his right hand. His office is to teach men the powers of the stars and to know the habitations of the planets and how to understand their powers. He also gives nobility and status, confidence, and love to friends and foes. He rules over thirty legions of spirits.
