Synopsis
"Journey in Life", formerly known as "Quotes from Life", is my first collection of prose essays. It records fragments of my life from childhood to the present and my insights on life. I often lament that my life experience is full of ups and downs. Sometimes people must obey fate, but they must never succumb to it. The reason why I say that my destiny is bumpy is that I have been frail and sick since I was a child, and I have often struggled with death under the torment of illness. However, I did not give up. With my unyielding faith and optimistic and positive outlook on life, I walked down step by step, living a free and meaningful life. I gain knowledge and skills and gain knowledge through the struggle in life. The reason why I have such a tenacious character and persistence is all given by my living environment. When I was a child, I grew up in a landscape with beautiful natural scenery, coupled with the quaint Lingnan villages and honest working people, which influenced me to yearn for nature, thus forming a positive outlook on life. My heart is open to the world and is not limited to a certain area or even a house. This has been fixed since I was a child, running and jumping everywhere in the embrace of nature with my playmates. Therefore, whenever I encounter disadvantages and difficulties, I will always persevere in them without hesitation. Difficulties are a whetstone. Difficulties force you to find ways to solve them, so that we can progress and grow. Looking at the problem from a philosophical perspective, human development is a process of discovering and resolving contradictions. Therefore, I do not often complain about the fate that God has arranged for me. To put it in a contradictory way: fate is just the boring excuse for losers and the ridicule of cowardly people. People's future can only be determined by their own will and efforts. Constantly striving for self-improvement and never giving up are the words that often come up in my heart when I encounter setbacks. Therefore, no matter how big a setback I encounter, I will laugh it off with a slight smile when facing friends, relatives or even other strangers. In my opinion, the experience of a person's life can best be described as sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy. Memories always have something extraordinary in the ordinary, encountering setbacks in the ordinary, and honing talents in the setbacks! For example, those past events and memories that will be unforgettable for a lifetime. These will become intangible spiritual assets in my life and valuable experiences in growing up as a person and doing things in the future, regardless of whether these past events are good or bad. I believe that everyone has his own experiences that are different from others, and they also have different ways and attitudes towards these experiences: some choose to remain silent, hiding their life experiences in the snow, and burying them forever in their hearts until these experiences follow their personal flesh and soul and merge with the earth; while some people choose to record their experiences in various forms or even spread them so that they are known to the world. I think valuing these memories and experiences is like valuing the value of life. A great man once said: A person's life can burn or decay. I cannot decay, I am willing to burn! Yes, I agree with what this great man said. As for good memories, memories of happy past events can certainly make a person recall them sweetly and interestingly, and can be used to soothe a wounded heart and cheer up the mood in the face of setbacks. However, all kinds of misfortunes, all kinds of setbacks, and difficulties are all a whetstone for me, which can sharpen an extremely sharp sword. Just as they force me to find a way, they also exercise me: I will gain wisdom after taking a cut. A strong person has to go through many hardships, and the life experience he gains will be more practical and valuable than those who live a calm life. From this perspective, although some people encounter more misfortunes and setbacks in their lives than others, it is fair for anyone to have more God. When God gives people a difficulty, it also adds intelligence, perseverance, and will. Therefore, whenever I encounter setbacks, I will never complain or envy. With a normal mind and an optimistic attitude, I will see the other side of the world - the rainbow after the storm. The Frenchman Balzac once said: Adversity is the step forward for genius, the cleansing water for believers, the priceless treasure for the capable, and the bottomless abyss for the weak. The key is the mindset an individual holds when encountering setbacks. , So there is no need to deliberately envy those people who have everything going smoothly in their life experiences, because your life is more exciting and more vigorous than theirs. My life is like this, like a small boat sailing in the ocean. It always has to go through the baptism of storms before it finally reaches the other side of the ocean and the oasis of light. My choice to record some of my memories in prose was not inevitable. A few years ago, I accidentally saw an article published by a well-known professor, which inspired and encouraged me. For this reason, I began to scribble to write about some touching events. Later, I concentrated on creating my novel, but the effect was not very satisfactory. As I kept writing, I found it difficult to stop writing. The reason is: the novel cannot accurately display and record my life experiences one by one; at least I am not a master of writing novels. I still lack the ability to describe characters and create plots. While meditating hard, I accidentally opened the prose that I had scribbled before, and then a flash of inspiration occurred. It turns out that using prose to record my past events, thoughts and feelings is the best. At least I love prose. Prose has scattered form and spirit. I can use some concise and vivid language to describe some stories, details and inspirations. I can also flexibly use the characteristics of prose and combine my own reality and experience to write an excellent prose. In addition, I also like to share my life story with others, and I also like to listen to other people's stories and then think about my own life. This kind of sharing and exchange is beneficial and a joyful thing. Literature should not only reflect life but also express emotions and thoughts. Prose, a highly free and open style, can more easily reflect and embody life and express thoughts and feelings. The form is scattered and the spirit is not scattered, it is the most suitable for expressing emotions. I love prose, and I prefer to express my love for prose with respect. Only by writing with rigorous and true feelings can you write real prose. Otherwise, it is the so-called graffiti, which is like pouring water and really blasphemes the connotation of prose. Therefore, a good prose should contain the author's true feelings.
