Draco walked into the hall nervously, his stomach feeling like he had a lump of lead. What he was about to do was horrific.
But there was no turning back for him.
Especially after what happened.
The promise made under the moonlight, the unbreakable oath, everything was done. And he guaranteed that himself, didn't he. For such an important thing - a wry smile appeared on his lips.
Blaise and Pansy were discussing something animatedly, but Draco couldn't hear anything. Silver-grey eyes swept across the hall, staring closely at a figure - Potter, wearing a head of hair that was as unchanging as a bird's nest, walked into the hall and sat between Weasley and Granger. Maybe...
No. After everything he had been through with Potter, he had to do this. There was no turning back for him.
With his throat so tight that it hurt and his heart pounding, Draco finally put down his glass, stood up slowly, and cautiously approached the Gryffindor table.
Apparently, Weasley had just fallen into some kind of dementia, causing Potter and Granger to giggle like hyenas. Draco braced himself and cleared his throat, "Harry."
Potter turned his head and immediately showed a wary expression when he saw who it was. "What do you want to do?"
"We need to talk," Draco said urgently, "Please, this is important."
"It's lunchtime, Malfoy," Potter studied him, "and we have nothing to talk about. If you're up to no good -"
Draco had no choice. "I want to talk about us - our children."
