This is a fantasy Buddhist bond formed by an ordinary fisherman woman in search of her husband who fell into the sea and disappeared.
When Yang Xuewan was sixteen years old, she rescued a handsome young man on the beach. He could not speak or smile, and was as calm as the deep sea. However, she fell in love with him at first sight and was unable to extricate herself from it.
When Yang Xuewan was twenty-six years old, she was finally able to marry the person she had been secretly in love with for ten years. However, on the wedding day, the person she longed for was buried in the deep sea while going out to sea with fishermen, which made her heartbroken and devastated.
But secretly, she firmly believed that he was still alive, so she ignored her family's obstruction and went to sea alone to find her husband. He was so affectionate that he moved an enlightened monk whom he met by chance on the boat.
The eminent monk gave her a string of black Buddhist beads. There were fifteen beads in total, each one engraved with a Sanskrit word. The eminent monk said: "If one day these beads can turn into gold, you will be able to find your husband."
After Yang Xuewan was extremely grateful to the eminent monk, he took these fifteen black beads and began a long journey to find his husband.
