Cen Shen's life was full of ups and downs in officialdom. If the frontier fortress is the long figure behind him, then his heart must be thinking of Chang'an all the time.
Chang'an, this sentimental city, carries all Cen Shen's hard work and thoughts. However, it was so ruthless that Cen Shen could not really find a place in Chang'an throughout his life. In the end, he died alone and died in a foreign land. For Cen Shen, Chang'an is like the sun in the sky, visible but out of reach.
"The dream soul knows where to remember, and there is no night without Beijing." This is the line of Cen Shen's poem that moved me the most. With child-like sincerity, he devoted his blood to this city and this dynasty. After searching hard but with no results, he still never complained at all, and still looked at each other infatuatedly, dreaming about him.
I dare not talk about or comment on Cen Shen's works, but I would like to be a companion, let time go back to a thousand years ago, and accompany Cen Shen to take a look at Chang'an, which he misses so much.
