Xia Guo
In the fifth year of Emperor Xia Hui's reign, it was morning on the summer solstice day.
General Hu Ji of Xiao State led an army of 100,000 people from Xiao State, and General Lian Ke of Qi State led an army of 100,000 people from Qi State. They divided their forces into two groups to attack Xia State. Xia general Chao Cuo heard the urgent report and hurriedly gathered 50,000 Xia troops to resist. Xia Lieutenant General Tian Jue led the remaining good soldiers to guard the capital city of Yunshu to protect the safety of the royal family.
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year, but the sky that people in Xia see on that day is all red.
