The Kraken can only have undying love for one person in its life. Humans use this characteristic of theirs to emotionally bind the Kraken to human soldiers and form the world-famous Kraken Team.
Second Lieutenant Tang Yi's twin brother Tang Ya was one of the captains of the Kraken team, but died in a battle. Tang Yi was ordered to impersonate Tang Ya to control his brother's siren Mercury, but was found out within a few days of meeting him. In order to protect the lives of the Kraken and continue to serve in the Kraken team of their dreams, Tang Yi and Mercury began a happy (?) Life pretending to be lovers.
